Choosing a Do

What if I stopped creating? A transition from a some-time producer to an all-time consumer. It’s ghastly! It’s inhumane! It’s not fair! But is it truly that bad? Have I given creation too much importance? Do I take myself and my life and Life too seriously? Should I give in?
Why did I use the phrase ‘give in’? What would I be giving in to? What am I doing now that isn’t ‘giving in’? I am doing nothing special. This is not special. This is just another thing. Writing these words is just another thing. By using my time to write words I am choosing this as the thing I do. There are many things that can be done. All have equal weight.
Do they all have equal weight? Is playing snooker just as valuable as watering a plant? Is walking with a dog just as valuable as walking alone? Is writing just as valuable as not writing?
It depends on me. I dictate the value. My mind is the chieftain. What is valuable to me is valuable to me. And so, what is valuable to them is valuable to them. How they choose to use their time is how they choose to use it. I must not judge how they use it. Why am I even bringing them up? They are them, I am me. I should focus on me. I must presume they are using their time to do what is valuable to them.
But what if they aren’t doing what is valuable to them? Do we do what is valuable to us? Do you do meaningful things? What are we all doing? How do we choose to do what we do? What is the most common factor? Are we doing the most valuable thing? Are we doing the easiest thing? What if we all just did the funniest thing? That would be an interesting reality.
This certainly isn’t the funniest thing I could be doing. I should go do something funny. To be laughing is to be full. This is what I want to do.
